2010 Running of the Medihelp Sunrise Monster - Are you tough enough?

 The "Monster" route has always resulted in one of the most arduous races around and will always remain as such! You only have to note the 'silver medal' qualifying times to confirm this fact. Many a runner has achieved a Two Oceans or a Comrades 'silver' but is yet to achieve this feat on the 'Monster'.

This year's race once again takes in many of the hills in the Lukasrand and Groenkloof suburbs, to ensure that the character of this event remains to be a testing challenge on the day.

However, the organisers have taken cognisance of the complaints and comments from the runners in 2009 in order to ensure 'safer' underfoot conditions, and less runner congestion, especially in the 'off-road; sections of the race. To this end the 32km runners will still experience a tough outing on the day, but can expect a more orderly passage during the early stages of the event.
